I sometimes use a large plastic bin that's tucked away in a closet with other stuff on top of it. Or how about the trunk of the car/minivan -- several of our gifts have been travelling around back there for a while now. I used to make cookies with my mom every year at Christmas. I'm not brave enough to try it with my boys yet. As for a holiday tradition to pass down, hmm. . . . my parents always make a special breakfast called fried cornmeal mush on Christmas morning. My mom's father used to make it for them when she was little. It would be fun to continue it knowing that we were extending it to yet another generation. That’s really nice.
